Escrow Transaction Fees

All payments on VaultRunner flow through a licensed internet escrow provider regulated at the state level. The escrow fee is calculated on the transaction amount and paid by the buyer. Fees are based on the escrow provider's published tier schedule and are shown in full in the checkout flow before any payment is authorized.

Why independent escrow? VaultRunner uses a licensed, independent escrow provider to ensure funds are held by a regulated third party — not by VaultRunner. This structure is central to the platform's marketplace facilitator classification under FinCEN guidance. Buyer funds are only released to the seller after vault re-titling is confirmed. The escrow provider is licensed in all 50 U.S. states.
Depository Storage Fees
Charged directly by depositories · Separate from VaultRunner fees · Paid by account holder
Storage fees are paid by the individual holding the metals at each depository — charged annually or monthly by the depository, not by VaultRunner. Buyers who receive vault title and elect to keep metals at the depository will be responsible for storage fees per the depository's published rate schedule.
